Pyongyang — The U.S. and South Korea began a joint military exercise today that angered North Korea, according to Fox News.
North Korea fired two short-range missiles 305 miles into the Sea of Japan to express its discontent with the drills.
According to the South Korean Ministry, the offending country did not give notice to a no-sail zone to the rest of the world before they launched the missiles.
Kim John Un, leader of North Korea, told his army to be ready for war and that the U.S. and South Korean military drills are preparations for an invasion.
Japanese authorities condemned the missile launches because it posed a threat to "aviation and navigation safety."
