Welcome back to another week of fantasy baseball. As usual, I hope your team is performing well. If not, I am here with some advice. At this point in the season, it could be time to start considering some major changes to your team. Perhaps one of your pitchers is underperforming or maybe your team has a lot of injuries. Whatever the reason is, look to add any of these payers to solve your problems.
Drew Pomeranz – SP: The unlikely leader of the Sand Diego Padres rotation turned in another great performance this past week. He gave up four hits and no runs through 6.2 innings, earning himself a quality win. Pomeranz also struck out 10 batters, pushing his season total to 25.
Will Myers – 1B, OF: After starting the season with a cold streak, Myers is beginning to heat up. He went 7-12 at the plate, adding six RBIs and two home runs as well. I expect Myers to be a solid player for the rest of the season, but look to add him sooner rather than later.
Steven Wright – SP: Here is another pitcher making a big difference at the back end of their team’s rotation. Wright has given up just three earned runs in 19.1 innings this season, giving him an era of 1.40, the lowest of all Boston starters.
Logan Forsythe – 1B, 2B: He did not hit any home runs and he only had three RBIs, but that did not stop him from having one of the best weeks at the plate. Instead of driving in runs, Forsythe was scoring them himself. He scored six runs and went 8-17 at the plate adding 4 walks as well.
Héctor Santiago – SP: This pitcher earned his first two wins of the season this week. Over 13 innings, he gave up just six hits and two runs. However, the special stat was the 17 strikeouts he added. After a disappointing outing the week before, this was a nice rebound week for the Angels pitcher.
