McLean Hall resident charged with underage drinking

University police charged Tyler J. Nguyen, 20, of McLean Hall with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 28.

Officers saw Nguyen staggering down the stairs and entering the lower level of SU’s Ceddia Union Building. A positive breath test was administered that showed positive signs of alcohol consumption. Nguyen was transported to Chambersburg Hospital for further treatment and a citation was later filed charging him with the above charge.

Non-student charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct

University police charged Duncan Allen Smucker, 19, of West Chester with disorderly conduct and underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 28.

Officers on patrol in the G-1 parking lot witnessed Smucker urinating in public and confronted him about his behavior. Smucker was found to be intoxicated and a portable breath test administered at the scene showed positive signs of alcohol consumption. Smucker was released at the scene after officers obtained his personal information and citations were later filed charging Smucker with disorderly conduct and underage drinking.

Lackhove Hall resident and non-student charged with underage drinking

University police charged Lackhove Hall resident Kelly Anne Ahearn, 19, and non-student Taylor N. McFadden, 18, of Havertown with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 28.

Both individuals were seen by officers walking through the G-1 parking lot carrying solo cups that were found to be containing alcohol. Both individuals were found to be under the age of 21 and failed portable breath tests administered by officers at the scene. Both women were released at the scene and citations were later filed charging Ahearn and McFadden with underage drinking.

Non-student visitor charged with underage drinking

University police charged Terry Lee Clark, 19, of Arnot with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 28.

Officers witnessed Clark walking into the G-1 parking lot carrying a bottle of liquor which he initially dropped on the ground when he saw officers and then tried to conceal underneath his shirt. Officers stopped Clark and were able to retrieve the plastic bottle Tortilla Gold Tequila that he had had in his possession. After discovering that Clark was under the age of 21, officers at the scene obtained his personal information and a citation was later filed charging Clark with underage drinking.

Non-student visitor charged with underage drinking

University police charged Hunter Ryan Cohick, 19, of Troy with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 29.

Cohick was observed walking through the G-1 parking lot carrying an open can of beer when he was intercepted by university officers. A backpack that Cohick was carrying at the time was found to contain multiple unopened cans of Busch Light beer which was confiscated by officers. After it was discovered that Cohick was under the age of 21, officers obtained his personal information and a citation was filed charging Cohick with underage drinking and underage possession of alcohol.

McCune Hall resident charged with underage drinking

University police charged McCune Hall resident Maura Anne Farrell, 18, with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 29.

Officers on patrol in the G-1 parking lot witnessed Farrell walking through the parking lot carrying an oranged parking cone with a no parking sign attached to it. Upon approaching Farrell, officers discovered she was intoxicated. Farrell admitted to consuming alcohol and said that someone had asked her to move the cone from Richard Avenue to Frat Row, but failed to provide the name of the individual who had told her to do so.

Farrell was released to her residence hall and a citation was later filed charging her with underage drinking.

Non-student and Naugle Hall resident charged with underage drinking

University police charged Anthony M. Delutic, 18, of Naugle Hall and Matthew P. Mooney, 18, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, were charged with underage drinking in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 29.

Officers on patrol in the area of Dauphin and York Drives witnessed both men in possession of and consuming alcohol, then setting the empty bottles on top of an electrical junction box near where they were standing.

Officers stopped the men and found that in addition to what they had witnessed both individuals consuming, Delutis was also in possession of additional alcohol in a backpack he was carrying with him at the time. Both individuals were transported back to Naugle Hall where they were released. Citations were later field charging both Delutis and Mooney with underage drinking.
