Six Shippensburg University students were victims of armed robbery inside a Shippensburg home during an incident that occurred last Wednesday.
Michael McDaniel and Chance Nelley, 19, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, are accused of forcing their way through an open first floor window at 32 Richard Ave. on Feb. 1 at approximately 1 a.m., according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.
Once inside, an altercation occurred between the two men and the six individuals inside the house at the time. McDaniel and Nelley began threatening the group with a pellet gun and a knife in an attempt to acquire money and drugs.
While continuing to argue with the victims, local police arrived, causing the two men to flee the premises. Although handled primarily by the state police, the SU campus police gave assistance as well as the Shippensburg Police Department.
McDaniel and Nelley were charged with several counts, including robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, simple assault, terroristic threats and unlawful restraint.
Both men were taken into custody and held in the Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $139,000 bail.
