As autumn quickly approaches, this quick and easy apple crisp will give you some fall spirit. Requiring a few ingredients and a microwave, whip up this dessert and enjoy.
Ingredients
4 medium tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Topping
2/3 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons cold butter
1. Mix apples with sugar, flour, lemon juice and cinnamon. Transfer to a greased microwave-safe 9-in. deep-dish pie plate.
2. Mix oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly and put over apples.
3. Cover with wax paper. Microwave for 5-7 minutes, or until apples are tender. Top with ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!
