With only a week until Election Day, just about everyone has questions they want to ask about the president. For Shippensburg University, a different kind of president took questions from the student body on Thursday afternoon.
Cumberland Valley Community Connections hosted its third annual Shippensburg Pumpkin Festival on Oct. 26 and 27. The free two-day event took place at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. It included many activities that were amusing for all ages.

Shippensburg University added six new members to its Athletics hall of Fame during its 39th annual induction ceremony on October 18.
The streets of Pittsburg were packed with fans crowding and flocking the PPG Paints Arena on Sunday, Oct. 13. Once the doors opened to the masses, the seats began to fill and almost the entire arena was packed with fans wearing oversized jerseys, bandanas and long jean shorts, waiting to get their chance to watch Billie Eilish perform live. Fans spanned from children to grandparents as we rushed through the metal detectors to get to our seats.
Shippensburg University’s volleyball team picked up three road wins this week against Jefferson, Bloomsburg and Lock Haven.
As a student, one already has a busy schedule. A student-athlete has an even busier schedule with practices and competitions. Students who are members of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program have a similarly busy schedule.
Shippensburg University’s No. 1 nationally ranked field hockey team moved to 13-0 on the season this past week, earning a thrilling comeback 3-2 win over No. 2 defending national champion Kutztown at home on Tuesday before taking down Slippery Rock 3-0 on Saturday.
