There are many genres Daniel Radcliffe’s new film “Horns” falls under, and a feel-good film is definitely not one of them. In the dark-fantasy, crime thriller, Radcliffe plays Ignatius ‘Ig’ Perrish who is under investigation for the rape and murder of his longtime girlfriend, Merrin (played by Juno Temple). Everyone in their town believes he is guilty with the xception of his best friend and lawyer, Lee (played by Max Minghella). Ig wakes up one morning with strange horns protruding from his forehead and he soon discovers the horns give him supernatural abilities, such as reading people’s deepest thoughts and seeing a person’s past when he touches them.

Review: “The Flash” keeps viewers hooked

There are a lot of things to talk about in this week’s episode, which, despite some minor flaws, stood out as the best episode of the season, so far. The focal point this week was Felicity Smoak, a character from CW sister show, “Arrow,” who took a trip to Central City to visit her friend, Barry.

Avengers: A second look

I am sure you are wondering why in the world I am focusing on a movie that came out two years ago and received so much hype and amazing reviews.

Lingerie, or Underwear

A couple drove on a summer afternoon, or evening time. Let’s say his name is Andrew, hers Julie. So Andrew was driving the two of them, or Julie is driving her parents’ car to a department store.

Darkest Nights, and Sunrise

When I was younger, I watched the moon out of the car window. I gave him a face and body so he could run along, so he could keep up as we drove at fastball speed.

“The Flash” S1E3 Review “Things You Can’t Outrun”

Despite some strong material for the supporting cast, this week’s episode of “The Flash” reached a plateau with its lame villain-of-the-week and its focus on the boring chemistry between Iris and Eddie. This week’s episode turned its attention to the night of the particle accelerator explosion in flashbacks that paralleled Wells’ decision, in the present, to use the accelerator as a prison. The flashbacks were effective enough, introducing viewers to Caitlyn Snow’s late fiancé, Ronnie Raymond, played by Ronnie Amell.

It does not seem like it has been a month since boy band One Direction dropped their new single “Steal My Girl” but it seems fans have not been able to stop talking about it.

Review: Jesus Christ Superstar is new and improved

I’m (more or less) a lifetime resident of Carlisle. I am quite aware that our region has a huge pool of talented people in all the arts. Having said that, I must single out the Carlisle Theatre Company and their current production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar as a new high-water mark. This version of the show, for those who may have seen the original movie or older stage versions, is updated and modernized, incorporating such touches as Twitter, cell-phone video and other social media references.

The Flash “The Fastest Man Alive” Review

“The Flash” continued its momentum from last week’s premiere in a stellar second episode that successfully developed and explored several major characters, but fell short in quality with its villain-of-the-week. Barry’s arc for the season was made especially clear this week – he wants to be a hero.

Izzy’s Review

There have been many movies over the years depicting the mystery of a parent vanishing out of the blue and never returning.

It’s been about two years since alternative rock band My Chemical Romance announced their breakup and we have already heard solo material from each of the members.
