SUTV wins two Emmy awards

Students from SUTV took home two collegiate Emmy awards from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Oct. 13 in Philadelphia.

Speaker shares importance of advocacy for elderly

“Our vision is to advocate for those who can’t, support those who can, and ensure all long-term care consumers live with dignity and respect,” Franklin County Ombudsman Angie Pickel said at a lecture on Thursday in Shippen Hall on gerontology, which is the study of aging.

Commentary: LGBT students deserve more from administration

Career fair provides opportunity to network

More than 100 businesses came to Shippensburg University for the fall career fair, ranging from chain suppliers such as Amazon and Target, to U.S. departments like the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and the Pennsylvania Counseling Services.

SUTV, Shippensburg University’s student-run television station, was nominated for three collegiate Emmy awards over the summer from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

State police briefs 10/2/18

Police reported that a shed at the Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg, was burglarized on Sept. 28 between midnight to approximately 10 a.m.
