Carter updates SU on future plans, changes

Shippensburg University President Laurie Carter sent an email to students on Thursday and addressed the topics of recruitment, her inauguration, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education’s (PASSHE) advocacy day and Vice President for Student Affairs Roger Serr’s retirement.

Club sets $20K record

The Shippensburg University Investment Club hit a record return of 26 percent last year and has grown their investment to more than $20,000.

Lectures to discuss science and religion, civil rights

Eric Rothschild, senior litigation counsel at Americans United for Separation of Church and States will be discussing the topic of science and religion at his lecture “The Biology Class You Wish You Could Have Taken: Evolution and Creationism of Trial in Dover, Pennsylvania.”

SU, The Slate mourns alumna

Sarah Hessen Eyd, a Shippensburg University alum and former managing editor of The Slate, died on Dec. 22, 2017, at her apartment building in Baltimore. She was 25 years old.
