A Shippensburg University alumna was presented a collegiate Emmy last weekend for a community service package made for SU’s television station, SUTV, which provided an inside look into the life of a woman who raises guide dogs.

Author shares inspiration for debut novel

Eucabeth Odhiambo, Shippensburg University associate professor of education, introduced her debut novel, which examines the impact of HIV/AIDS in Kenya and how it inspired her during the writing process Thursday evening in SU’s Old Main Chapel.

Bike sharing program introduced at SU

Shippensburg University President Laurie Carter cut the ceremonial ribbon this afternoon to introduce the new ShipShare program which allows students, faculty and staff to borrow bicycles from the Ezra Lehman Memorial Library.

Annual Corn Festival attracted thousands

Shippensburg’s 37th annual corn festival kicked off Saturday morning, containing both new and traditional events such as live music, an antique auto show and a corn-eating contest.
