Walking on sunshine: Saying goodbye to this eternal winter
ByWith a little more than a month left, college students are thinking about summer break and are starting to become distracted with the approaching beautiful weather.

Moving to a different area or city is certainly not an easy thing to do. Friends, family, acquaintances are often very meaningful, but lost in an instant when shifting to a new location. My experience was very similar to this, but to a whole new level.
When my section editor and I discussed the topic of immigration, I decided that I would not tackle the issue of strengthening laws or undocumented workers.
When it comes to immigration, my standpoint is simple — the more the merrier. The United States has been described as a melting pot for hundreds of years, blending together dozens and dozens of cultures that have given us the diversity that we have in our society today.
Depending on who you ask, a one-night stand can be a defining moment in one’s life or it can fall in the category of life’s biggest regrets. Just like anything else in life there is always two sides of a spectrum and unfortunately if you are a male or female you have been on both sides — unless you are saving yourself for marriage then kudos to you.
I got a rose last Valentine’s Day like so many other women. My rose was not from someone special, though.
There were 305,388 babies born to U.S. mothers ages 15–19 in 2012, and according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC,) ironically enough, this rate has continually declined in recent years.
Sex is good. Sex is incredible. Sex feels incredible, or so I am told. I would not know because I am waiting until marriage to find out. The decision to wait until your wedding night is split in our culture, but there seems to be a shift with waiting until marriage being labeled taboo.
Everywhere we look we can see it. Public displays of affection (PDA) have always been a part of our society when it comes to relationships.
The definition of the death penalty by Google is a punishment of execution, administered to someone legally convicted of a capital crime. What constitutes the death penalty, however, is different for every state in the U.S.
When some people think of the cost behind the death penalty, they think that it is cheaper than life imprisonment due to the fact that only one bullet is needed or just a needle shoved into the arm to kill somebody.
It is 2000. The year of Y2K, Backstreet’s Back, and Nintendo’s Game Cube. According to The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC) for six years, William Nieves has been on death row, but this year, a Philadelphia jury has acquitted him of murdering Eric McAiely in 1992.
It is one of the topics in the United States that always receives mixed reviews. Capital punishment has been part of U.S. It is a point of contention that sparks disputes in everyone. I will say that I am in favor of capital punishment, however there is a side to the death penalty that I feel people do not necessarily think about. I feel that there is gender bias when it comes to trying women in court.
Is making someone walk the plank for their crimes possibly one step too far? Or is it the most appropriate punishment?
For many centuries now, marijuana has been used for various purposes. But it was not until 1914 that the use of it was considered a crime.
Marijuana is now recreationally legal in two states. There are countless editorials that debate whether this should transition to the whole nation, but consider objective reporting on the matter.
Marijuana use is one of the most fiercely debated topics in the U.S. today.
Ganja, hookah, pot, grass, Mary Jane, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) whatever you want to call it, we all know about marijuana. While the drug may go by dozens of names, there seems to be only two opinions regarding this recreational substance, pro-pot, or anti-pot.
What if there was some kind of super crop that cured fatal diseases such as cancer and epilepsy, made great building materials, was a renewable eco-friendly resource and could seriously bring in some money?
