Pursuing multiple majors, designing tattoos and interning for NASA are not the typical endeavors of a college student. However, Shippensburg University student Jarett Scott has done this to successfully combine his passions.

In seventh grade, Skylar Walder stopped in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, as a pit stop on the way home to northern New Jersey. It wasn’t until high school that she rediscovered Shippensburg through a poster in her teacher’s classroom. Now, Walder is an amicable and recognizable face on campus.
Whether you have been on campus for four years or one semester, you probably have met, interacted with, or at least seen Jeremy Satyawan Putra. Putra is well known for his bold business casual outfits and striking up conversation with any friendly looking face.
The Activities Programming Board hosted a “Family Feud” event on Friday, Jan. 21, in the Ceddia Union Building. The event began at 9 p.m.; however, the APB event staff spent far more time beforehand preparing the event.
On Dec. 9 the Pride Center held Lavender Graduation to celebrate LGBTQ+ graduates and their accomplishments. The Shippensburg University graduates were joined by friends and faculty as well as their given or chosen families in the Ceddia Union Building.

Students and faculty have had to adapt to many different personalities in Shippensburg University’s administration over the years. This year Charles and Colleen Patterson have transitioned into the roles of interim president and first lady of Shippensburg University.
There are many famous animals spotted around the Shippensburg University campus. We have the famous Ship Squirrels Instagram account, @ship_squirrels, as well as and Oliver, Homecoming Royalty Hayley Anderson’s service dog. However, among all of the celebrities to meet on campus, one named Raider stands out.
Seasonal affective disorder is hitting hard as final deadlines and the end of the semester quickly approaches. Through general and Covid-19-related absences this semester, many students cannot afford to miss more classes before finals week. Rather than becoming consumed by essays and exams, students should find simple ways to relieve stress without having to take the whole day off.
