Tulip planted for new life

Shippensburg University community members met around the Janie Fecker Garden outside Lackhove Hall  on Tuesday for SU’s annual Tulip Planting Ceremony to remember those who have been victims of domestic violence.

The Slate adopts, clean highway

The Slate staff adopted  a two-mile stretch of Route 533 last week and completed their first cleanup on Saturday.

Career center helps students prepare for graduate school

Students gathered in the Ceddia Union Building multipurpose room Tuesday to learn about the graduate school admissions process from representatives of the Shippensburg University Career and Community Engagement Center (CCEC), Graduate Admissions and the Financial Aid Office.

Annual Crab Fest first of many cultural events

A crowd of students, alumni, faculty, and friends of Shippensburg University enjoyed Maryland-style crabs in the hockey rink earlier this month in celebration of Crab Fest, an annual event hosted by the African American Organization (Afro-Am).

PEACE aims to educate, advocate

The Peers Educating and Advocating for Campus Safety, Equality, and Empowerment (PEACE) is a new club at Shippensburg University which is a women’s advocacy group fighting violence and derogatory views of women in popular culture through lectures and presentations.
