Sleva signs professional contract with Paris

Former Shippensburg University basketball standout Dustin Sleva announced last week that he signed a professional contract with Paris Basketball in France’s second division, Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B. One of the most widely known and respected leagues in Europe, the LNB Pro B should be a great learning experience for Sleva as he begins his professional career.

Football set to kick off new campaign

The Shippensburg University football team has its eyes set high going into the new season. The squad reached the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs, last season, after posting a 10–1 record in the regular season, only the fifth season in school history with 10 wins.

At a snail's pace: baseball's pace of play issue a slippery slope

It’s 11:30 p.m. A pitcher out of the bullpen just finished warmup pitches and the game is set to resume in the 12th inning. The stands are empty, with the majority of the crowd having left at 10 p.m. Fans at home watching on TV have either changed the channel or have fallen asleep on the couch.

Two Raiders selected in 2018 MLB Draft

Former Raiders Cash Gladfelter and Gabe Mosser were selected in the 2018 MLB Draft earlier today. Both players were star contributors to the SU baseball team during their time at the university.

Morgan named Millersville head coach

The last time Shippensburg University offensive coordinator J.C. Morgan stood on the sidelines at Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium he called plays from the visitor’s sideline during the annual Red-White spring game.

Softball splits doubleheader with UPJ

After dropping two games against a last-place Kutztown University team on Saturday, the Shippensburg University softball team found itself clinging to the third and final Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoff spot in the East Division.
