Swim competes at Gettysburg Invitational

 Shippensburg University’s swim teams competed at the Gettysburg Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College on Friday and Saturday. Freshman Jazz Barry impressed with several SU all-time Top 10 performances for the women’s team.

Men’s basketball starts 1-1 in PSAC

 Shippensburg University men’s basketball team split a pair of home games this past weekend, falling to Indiana (PA) 96-84 Friday evening before rebounding with a 71-64 victory against Seton Hill. The results moved the Raiders to 4-2 on the season, including 1-1 in PSAC play.

Another Tough Week for Women’s Basketball

  It was a tough stretch last week as Shippensburg University women’s basketball lost two games by decisive scores — first to Jefferson College 84-49 and then to Holy Family 65-49.

Volleyball’s season comes to an end with PSAC semifinals loss

 Shippensburg University volleyball ended its 2023 season on a down note this past weekend, beating Lock Haven 3-0 in the PSAC quarterfinals, before a hard-fought 3-1 loss to Clarion in the conference semifinals. The Raiders finished the season 23-9, their best record since 2019.

Field Hockey falls to Kutztown in national semifinals

 Shippensburg University’s field hockey team’s 2023 season came to an end Friday evening with a 2-1 loss to Kutztown in the NCAA Division II Semifinals in Manchester, New Hampshire. The Raiders controlled the match throughout, but a late penalty stroke goal for Kutztown proved to be the difference.

Women’s basketball looking to make adjustments for the upcoming weeks

 Shippensburg University women’s basketball fell short in their first two games of the season this weekend as they hosted the 2023 Conference Challenge at Heiges Field House. The Raiders played their first game of the season Friday afternoon against Fayetteville State and lost 68-62 in a close game. The Raiders played their second game Saturday night against Bowie State, where Shippensburg lost 61-52.

Football suffers loss at Homecoming game

 The Shippensburg  University football team lost its Homecoming game this Saturday against Lock Haven with a final score of 21-7, which puts the Raiders at 2-8 going into the last game of the season.

Swimming drops dual meet at Clarion

 The men’s and women’s swimming teams faced several obstacles during their dual meet at Clarion that saw some wins for the Raiders, but also some struggles when taking to the water.

Field hockey falls short in PSAC finals after winning against Kutztown, 1-0

  Shippensburg University’s field hockey team fell short, 2-1, against East Stroudsburg in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game at East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon. In the PSAC semifinals, the Raiders won 1-0 in overtime against Kutztown at East Stroudsburg on Friday afternoon to advance to the PSAC final.

Men’s cross country qualifies for nationals; women finish fifth at Atlantic Regionals

 Shippensburg University’s men’s cross-country team qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships with a third-place finish at the Atlantic Region Championships that were held at Lock Haven University on Saturday.   The women’s team placed fifth at the championship, beating their seventh-place seed and placing third out of all the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schools participating.

Volleyball beats Millersville to earn a spot in PSAC tournament

  The Shippensburg University volleyball team played three games this week, and after a loss in the first game against Pitt-Johnstown on Tuesday, it put up victories in the second and third games against West Chester on Friday and Millersville on Saturday.

Women’s soccer records consecutive wins

  Shippensburg University’s women’s soccer team capped off a successful week with two wins, blanking both Millersville on Wednesday and East Stroudsburg on Saturday 1-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchups.
