Lecture highlights flaws in criminal justice system

A lecture titled “Access to Justice: Race, Privilege, Sports & What’s Uncommunicated” was presented at Shippensburg University on Thursday in Dauphin Humanities Center to generate a conversation about the inequalities prevalent in today’s society. 

A film presented by SU professors discussed the social stigmas of disabilities that exist in today’s society. Both the film and panel that spoke after the film provided ways to end these stigmas by starting a conversation about them.

Event aims to end disability stigmas

“The Stigma Project” was presented at Shippensburg University on Thursday to educate, spread knowledge and eliminate social stigmas surrounding people with disabilities.
